2-Year American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Certification
This course teaches basic recognition and response to life-threatening emergencies as a healthcare provider.
*Class is taught in accordance to the updated American Heart Association 2020 guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Who should take this course?
Healthcare professionals or personnel requiring BLS certification
After completing the course, you will be able to...
Perform CPR on an adult, child, and infant
Understand the importance of an AED
Utilize and AED to deliver a shock to an adult, child, and infant
Deliver ventilations using a barrier device (i.e. BVM or pocket mask)
Coordinate team dynamics during multi-rescuer CPR
Relieve Airway obstructions (choking) in an adult, child, and infant
Recognize and respond to other life threatening emergencies:
heart attack ~ stroke ~ drowning ~ anaphylactic shock ~ respiratory arrest ~ opioid overdose ~ loss of consciousness
