Who should take this course?

This course if for anyone wishing to learn how to recognize and respond to life threatening medical emergencies.

For those seeking a course completion card, this class qualifies for an AHA Heartsaver CPR AED certification (valid for 2-years) 

After completing the course, you will be able to...

• Describe  high-quality CPR and its importance to survival

• Recognize someone who needs CPR

• Recognize someone who need Rescue Breathing

• Distinguish Cardiac Arrest from Heart Attack

• Perform CPR on an adult, child, and infant

• Use an AED on an adult, child, and infant

• Deliver ventilations to an adult, child, and infant using a barrier device (i.e. pocket mask) or mouth-to-mouth 

• Assign roles during CPR with multiple people helping

• Relieve an airway obstruction in an adult, child, and infant who is choking

• Recognize and respond to other life threatening emergencies:

heart attack ~ stroke ~ drowning ~ anaphylactic shock ~ respiratory arrest ~ opioid overdose ~ loss of consciousness
